LEADING HORSE

People just want to know where to go. If a sign gets them going in the right direction, they will keep looking for more and follow them to reach the desired destination

LEADING HORSE

Participants arrive at Point A. The challenge is to get 2/3 of crowd to Point B and the rest to Point C without using Road X. This short road must stay clear for emergency access

SET PRECIDENT

Participants already know their destination. Place figure in a very prominent location that everyone notices immediately upon arrival. Clearly mark the desired destination

GO UNTIL CHANGE

Participants will keep going along a given path until come across another sign or there is a question of direction. People will seek the shortest path and ignore barricades if not directed where to go.

GIVE BIG HINT

Coming up to a street intersection becomes very confusing due to the crowd, traffic, and parking. A big hint on where to go is wanted and needed, especially if running late.

SIMPLE LOGIC

People quickly deduce how to get to the desired location. It is as easy as 1, 2, 3 when you set up the pattern in plain sight

IN PLAIN SIGHT

A participant can easily see from Figure 1 to Figure 3 because these orange giants stand almost 11-feet tall. Even the pointing arm is seen above the crowd and most vehicles

NO SHORTCUTS

Once participants start following the figures, you must lead them all the way to the marked destination. Trust is given to these orange giants allowing the participants to focus on other matters like the race

FREE-FALL-ALL

After crossing the finished line, most need to pick up awards, grab clothes and find friends. The challenge: It is still crowded and usually less-structured. The place may be unfamiliar given an early morning arrival

EVERY WHICH WAY

A whole lot of people are between you and the various pick up locations. The going is slow, especially if you are not certain of the destination and have to backtrack through the packed crowd

ABOVE THE CROWD

Both destination and direction are easily spotted amongst a large colorful crowd… always giving the needed points of reference no matter the ebbs and flows

PICK AND CHOOSE

Most events use the same colored tents for economy and uniformity. The problem is figuring out which tent to go to when you must get to the tent to read the tent’s sign

TRUE PERSPECTIVE

It is best to set up signage a little ways away from the desired tent. This minimizes how far each participant has to go through the crowd, making more time for celebration with friends

NOT SO EASY

One would think there is no problem finding the exit locations. When you arrived in the dark and tired from the event, it is easy to get turned around and go out the wrong exit

TO THE WATER

Coming or going, participant anxiety stays high until the desired target is seen. Eliminate this unwanted feeling and participants are more at ease, perform better and want to come back the following year
MAKE CHOICE EASY: Help participants start off on the right foot
SEEMS SIMPLE: Shoe view is difficult because it lacks high vantage point
INTRODUCE TOOL: Show people right away what to look for
SEE UP AHEAD: Maintain the sight line from previous figure to next figure
CHAOS: The closer you get to the event, the more the congestion
NO HELP NEEDED: Just follow the orange stick figures
SUPER EASY: It is as easy as 1, 2, 3… without police, staff and blockades
BEYOND FINISH LINE: There is a ways to go after completing an event
POST RACE: The event is really not over until you are on your way home
DODGEBALL: There is no straight path through a crowd
TARGETS FOUND: Instantly know where to go
CLARITY: The medals are found in the white tent… located right there
SUN BLINDED: Spinheads stands out even with looking into the sun
FINISH THE JOB: Help the participants get to their car, buses or shuttles
HOME RUN: Don’t strand at third. Give the sign to get them home
